The Facility Performance Index (FPI) is based on the ASTM Standards on Whole Building Functionality and Serviceability.

It is a process for rating building performance by comparing any building's attributes to its user requirements. Based on the concept of Demand and Supply, the application of this index determines how well a building will meet the needs of its occupants using a wide range of topics, ranging from cleanliness to security; cabling to employee amenities.
